May: A Time for Books and Blossoms

Happy Friday!
Have you ever had a week when you find yourself constantly thinking “Isn’t this week over yet?’ I’m at the tail end of about six of those in a row. The good news is I see the light at the end of the tunnel! More good news: I sent a manuscript to my agent this week. She may like it or she may not, but I feel like I’ve accomplished something despite my ugly schedule.

I did stick my head out into the world a couple of times this week and got to hear some exciting book news. Yvonne Ventresca’s debut novel Pandemic (Sky Horse Press) hit the shelves this week! Another new arrival is Blonde Ops: A Novel (St. Martin’s Griffin) by the dynamic duo Char Bennardo and Natalie Zaman. Both are great reasons to grab a book and spend some of next week lounging in the sun and reading.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

PS: This week I got to take part in the Dear Teen Me website: http://dearteenme.com/?p=7437

PPS: (or is it PSS?) : It looks like I have to hold in that secret for a whole more month. Torture, I tell you, torture!
