Happy Friday!

I can finally talk about the secret I’ve been holding inside for more than a month! A few months ago, I saw a small piece in the paper about the upcoming Morristown Festival of Books. The event will be held on September 26th and 27th, and here is the part that made it really exciting for me – it’s only about 20 minutes from where I live! More than a dozen authors and readers from all over Morris County and beyond will be talking books this close to my home. I remember thinking – can it get any better than this!

Then some time later, I learned part of the festival was the culmination of a One Community One Book event. Whoa! There will be so many people reading and talking about one book. As someone who loves book club and looks forward to our monthly discussions whether I enjoyed the book or not, this clearly pushed the festival up another notch.

The excitement doesn’t end there. At the end of March, I learned the title of the book – PROVIDENCE! Wowzer! What an honor! What a thrill too, knowing I’ll get to meet people who have read the book and hear about the things they thought and felt as they read it.

So if you live in the area or plan to be here that weekend, please join us. You’ll get to pick and choose which authors you’d like to hear speak and stop by the signing tents to say hello. New Jersey is beautiful in September!

In the meantime, stop by the Hillsborough Library Book Festival tomorrow. There will be 20 authors and illustrators, raffles, activities, and swag galore. I’ll be there. I hope you will be too!
